This networking event was a great success - over 100 convened at Lima Restaurant & Lounge in downtown DC.  As an event for entrepreneurs and young professionals many solid business connections were formed; nevertheless, the relaxed environment resulted in many strong social relationships between the amicable attendees.  This event was a great success primarily because of the diverse attendance - sharp entrepreneurs represented several professional backgrounds and a wide variety of nationalities.

This fantastic night was capped off by an iPod Raffle - our winner was Ausaf Khan of Ali Akbar Group .  Mr. Khan won the raffle, but as his letter to OPEN DC describes below, he left the event with more than an iPod Nano.

Letter from our raffle winner, Mr. Ausaf Khan:

My name is Ausaf Akbar Khan. I have done my high school from Aitchison College , bachelors from Rutgers University in financial and international economics and have recently finished my masters (Executive MBA) from George Mason University .

I am one of the managing directors of a diverse international group - Ali Akbar Group (AAG)-(www.aliakbargroup.com). AAG is the market leader in agro-chemicals and has been serving the farmers of Pakistan by providing quality agricultural products at an economical price since 1992. AAG has expanded its business and diversified into PET Bottling plant, Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG), Textile unit and a trading/ Marketing house in Dubai .

I have been in USA for sometime now and am exploring new business opportunities for my group. Being an entrepreneur I did a lot of research but could not find an organization that could provide me with quality networking events. I was introduced to OPEN through two great ambassadors of OPEN - Mr. Javed Qamar and Kamran. I recently attended my first OPEN event at LIMA bar in DC. OPEN did a great job in selecting LIMA bar for the networking because it was convenient and trendy. I met lot of extremely talented and professional people and exchanged many good ideas.

I would like to give lot of credit to OPEN organizers who are working very hard to organize successful informative and educative networking events for us. I love OPEN email updates because I always look forward to meet extremely professional entrepreneurs.

My main goal with OPEN is to meet extremely professional people and hopefully could expand my business base.
